Hi, I'm Rosie 👋

🧪 I’m a qualified Science teacher (BSc, PGCE, PGDE and working towards my MEd) and have full enhanced DBS and safeguarding training.

👩‍🏫 I’ve been teaching Science for 18 years now and I absolutely love it!

I worked in schools in London, Bristol and Devon for 17 years teaching Science and was also Head of Science and an Assistant Head responsible for Teaching and Learning.

I examine for a number of different GCSE and IGCSE exam boards and have been running my tuition business full time for the last two years.

🌊 A bit more about me, I live in Devon with my 2 kids and husband and I LOVE swimming in the sea whatever the weather!

💚 I love working with teenagers, I love their curiosity about the world around them and I love that science gets to answer these questions for them!

I am absolutely committed to all students having access to a brilliant science education so that they can become life long learners able to make their own exciting discoveries about the world.

FAQ

  • What does this bundle include?

    This bundle covers all six exams for Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

    Included within it is:

    🟡 30 minutes of pre-recorded content

    🟡 1.5 hours of live teaching

    🟡 30 minute post workshop review activity

  • What happens in the live sessions?

    The live sessions are led by an experienced Science teacher, tutor and examiner.

    They include 30 minutes of key content, 30 minutes of modelled exam questions and 30 minutes of students answering exam questions and being shown the answers.

  • When are these sessions running?

    These sessions are running Tuesday 7th April, Wednesday 8th April and Thursday 9th April.

    Paper 1 all 09:00 - 10:30.

    Paper 2 all 11:00 - 12:30.

    If you cannot attend live, don't worry, they will all be recorded ready for your student to access when they can.

  • Is this suitable for Y10 students?

    Yes and no, sorry it's not as clear cut as the paper 1 bundle! This paper 1 and paper 2 bundle is generally most suitable for Y11 students as the paper 2 content tends to be taught at the end of Y10 and into Y11. It could be useful as a pre-teaching exercise, or if your child's school has raced through the content as in onto paper 2, but the paper 1 bundle would probably be the most suitable.

  • Does my student need to have their camera or mic on?

    No, I ask that cameras and mics are off during these sessions. If a student needs to ask a question they can use the chat function to write to me.

  • My student can't attend all of the sessions live - does that matter?

    Absolutely not! These sessions will work equally as well watching them as a recording at a time that is convenient to you.
